The 22-hectare (52-acre) land housing condominiums for rent at the northwest part of Makati, bounded by Pasig River on the north, Hipodromo Street on the south, Fortuna Street to the east, and Aurelio Reyes Avenue to the west which connects to Chino Roces Avenue, is a redevelopment plan by the Ayala Land where the Santa Ana Racetrack used to be on, which operated from 1937 to 2008. Bordering Santa Ana, Manila and Barangay Carmona in Makati, the racetrack was home to the Santa Ana Turf Club, now Philippine Racing Club’s predecessor, the former introducing thoroughbred horse racing in the country. Earlier during the 1900s, the site was home to a dance hall and music venue for Manila’s elite society, the Santa Ana Cabaret, and now, various condominium rentals stand on the site.
After a year when the hippodrome was closed, the Philippine Racing Club opened the new Santa Ana Park or the Saddle and Clubs Leisure Park in Naic, Cavite.
