Originally part of the Hacienda de Mandaluyon owned by the Augustinian Order back in the days, according to the census in the early 1900s, Mandaluyong only had five native towns such as Poblacion, Barangka, Hagdang Bato, Namayan, & Hulo; from then, these five developed to 22 other towns.
