Pinaglabanan Shrine and Museums

 

The historic city of San Juan also has its fair share of cultural sites and tourist spots such as the Pinaglabanan Shrine, the Museo ng Katipunan, and the Museo El Deposito (El Deposito Museum). 

Pinaglabanan Shrine was built in 1973 to commemorate those who fought bravely against Spain, becoming one battle - The Battle of Pinaglabanan, in a campaign for independence from Spanish colonial rule; it's where Filipinos honor our revolution heroes with this shrine.

The Katipunan that fought for our independence and their efforts are remembered also through these museums - The Museo Ng Katipunan and The Museo El Deposito. Visitors can learn all about the people who made up this revolutionary society; plus there's even space reserved in honor of those brave souls...
