The San Antonio Village was first called Barrio Camachile. As the inhabitants grew, they petitioned in 1958 to be independent from Barrio Culi-Culi or presently known as Barangay Pio del Pilar. A year later they were proclaimed independent by the Municipal Government, the inhabitants then proposed for the barrio to be called San Antonio Village, in honor of their patron Saint Anthony de Padua.
